There are several trash bikes I often see around Lincoln Square. Occasionally I see someone pushing a bike draped in bulging plastic bags, but most often the bikes are parked and left alone for days at a time.

Are these items scavenged from the alleys? Is the owner simply using the bike to cache supplies for later use? This stash has an unusual arrangment of pillows tied down with twine, a golf club and a decorative pressure valve attached to the rear wheel.

Looking closer at the bike it appears that someone has obsessively tangled the whole thing with twine and wire. What appears at first glance as a sloppy pile of trash is actually a fussily contrived accumulation of materials.
